A good group outing gets everyone out of the usual routine. A great one gives them something to do together.
Obstacles naturally create the moments organizers are usually trying to manufacture: somebody tries something new, somebody else cheers, a team starts strategizing, and suddenly the quiet kid is showing everyone how it’s done.
No one has to sit through an icebreaker to get there.

No, everyone does not need to be athletic.
Your group does not need to be filled with experienced ninjas. The gym has climbing, swinging, balance and movement challenges that can be scaled for different comfort and ability levels.
The goal is not for everyone to complete the same obstacle. It’s for everyone to have a way to participate.
Keep the planning simple.
Tell us who is coming and what you want the day to feel like. We’ll help you get pointed in the right direction.
Tell us your crew.
Group size, ages, preferred date and whether this is a field trip, team event, company outing or something else.
Tell us the goal.
Celebration? Team bonding? Student reward? Active enrichment? Friendly competition? That helps shape the experience.
Handle waivers early.
Participating guests need a current waiver. For larger groups, getting them completed before arrival helps check-in move faster.
Show up and move.
Our team helps your group get started. Then: run, climb, swing, race, repeat.
The next “yes” should be even easier.
Once your group has been here, you already know the location, what to wear, how waivers work and — most importantly — whether they loved it.
When the answer is “When can we come back?” you do not need to reinvent the outing. Give the next visit a new reason and bring the crew back.
Discovery, first tries and figuring out everybody’s favorite challenge.
New goals, rematches, harder attempts and a group that already knows the fun waiting inside.
You already know the drill. Tell us what worked last time and what you want different this time.
We can bring the obstacles to you.
For qualifying larger school, corporate, community and festival events, Octo Ninja Mobile can travel to locations around Austin and Central Texas.

What kinds of group events does Octo Ninja host?+
Octo Ninja hosts active group events for kids, teens and adults at our indoor Austin obstacle gym. We regularly work with schools, corporate teams, sports teams, churches, youth groups, Scouts, clubs, homeschool groups, community organizations and private groups.
If you are still deciding what fits your crew, compare our group-event options and choose the experience closest to what you are planning.
Does Octo Ninja offer corporate team building in Austin?+
Yes. Octo Ninja hosts corporate team-building events and company outings where coworkers can climb, race, problem-solve, laugh and cheer each other on instead of sitting through another conference-room icebreaker.
Challenges can be scaled for different athletic backgrounds, so the event can still feel competitive and memorable without requiring everyone on the team to be an athlete. See the corporate team-building option.
Does Octo Ninja host school field trips in Austin?+
Yes. Schools can bring students to Octo Ninja for active indoor field trips built around climbing, balancing, movement, physical problem-solving and shared challenges.
They can work especially well for PE experiences, student rewards, enrichment, end-of-year celebrations and special outings. See the school field-trip option.
Can churches, Scouts, clubs and homeschool groups book events?+
Absolutely. Church groups, youth ministries, Scout troops, clubs, homeschool groups, co-ops and other youth organizations can plan group visits to Octo Ninja.
The obstacle floor gives participants natural ways to interact, encourage one another and try something new together without requiring everyone to already be friends or experienced ninjas. See youth-group options or see homeschool and club options.
Does Octo Ninja host sports teams and team-bonding events?+
Yes. Youth and adult sports teams can use Octo Ninja as a different kind of team-bonding experience. Athletes can test grip, agility, balance, coordination and problem-solving outside their normal sport.
Team races and friendly competition also give coaches a fun way to get athletes interacting in a completely different environment. See the sports-team option.
Does everyone in our group need to be athletic?+
No. Activities can be scaled for different comfort, confidence and ability levels. The goal is not for everyone to complete the same obstacle — it is to give everyone an appropriate way to participate, challenge themselves and be part of the experience.
That flexibility is one of the reasons Octo works well for mixed groups. See how we approach mixed abilities.
Can adults participate in Octo Ninja group events?+
Yes. Octo Ninja is not just for kids. Adult groups and corporate teams can climb, swing, race and tackle obstacles together whether participants are experienced athletes, recreationally active or trying ninja for the first time.
For work groups, our corporate team-building section shows how we shape the experience around bonding, competition and shared fun.
How much does a group event cost?+
Pricing depends on your group size, ages, event format, date and what you want the outing to accomplish. A school field trip, company team-building event and youth-group outing may need very different setups.
Send us your estimated attendance and goals when you inquire so we can point you toward the right option. If you want to talk through something unusual first, you can also contact Octo Ninja.
How do group size and private or exclusive-use options work?+
Octo Ninja can work with a range of group sizes, but the best format depends on participant count, ages, the date and how you want to use the arena.
Private or more exclusive event options may also be available depending on your needs. Include your estimated attendance and whether dedicated use of the gym matters when you inquire, or contact us before booking so we can help you plan the right structure.
Do group participants need waivers?+
Yes. Participating guests need a current Octo Ninja waiver, and a parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver for participants under 18.
For larger groups, getting waivers handled before arrival can make check-in significantly faster and help the event start on time.
What should participants wear?+
Wear comfortable clothing that allows climbing, bending, swinging and movement. Clean athletic shoes with good traction are recommended.
Avoid sandals, flip-flops, Crocs and other loose or slippery footwear on the obstacle floor. A refillable water bottle is also a good idea for active group events.
Can we make Octo Ninja a recurring or annual group event?+
Absolutely — and the second visit is usually even easier to plan. Once your group already knows the gym, what to wear and how waivers work, you can spend less time explaining logistics and more time giving the outing a new reason to happen.
Bring the crew back for rematches, new challenges, a yearly celebration, another student reward or the event everybody asked to repeat. See why rebooking gets easier.
Can Octo Ninja bring an obstacle course to our location instead?+
Yes, for qualifying larger events. Octo Ninja Mobile is a professionally staffed obstacle-course experience that can travel to schools, corporate events, festivals, community events and athletic activations around Austin and Central Texas.
If your event is too large or simply makes more sense at your location, explore Octo Ninja Mobile.
