About Octo Ninja

LOCALLY OWNED IN AUSTIN

Austin's ninja gym for kids and adults who were made to move.

Octo Ninja is a 15,000-square-foot indoor ninja obstacle gym built around a simple idea:

Kids don't all need to move, learn, compete or build confidence the same way.

Some kids love traditional team sports.

Others would rather climb the wall, swing from a bar, race across an obstacle, invent their own challenge and try something ten times until it finally clicks.

We built Octo Ninja for them.

From a first visit to serious training, our gym gives kids a place to play hard, learn real skills, challenge themselves and discover what they're capable of.

WHY NINJA?

More than an obstacle course.

The obstacles are only part of the experience. We want kids to leave Octo Ninja feeling a little more capable than when they walked in.

01

Finally making it across the monkey bars.

02

Trying an obstacle they were nervous about.

03

Missing, resetting and trying again.

04

Solving a movement problem on their own.

05

Cheering on another kid.

06

Discovering that physical activity can actually be fun.

There's room here for real skill development, progression and competition.

But play comes first. Because when kids genuinely love moving, they're much more likely to keep moving.
OUR STORY

Why we built this gym.

A different kind of sport.

Owner Atlas Cage grew up playing traditional sports, but never felt completely at home in them.

He was more interested in video games, superheroes, kung fu movies and the idea of tackling impossible-looking challenges.

Years later, that interest led him to ninja warrior. His early submission videos for Japan's Sasuke were featured by G4, and in 2012 he was invited to compete on American Ninja Warrior.

When Atlas and Tatiana Jitkoff had the opportunity to bring a dedicated ninja gym to Austin, one question stood out:

Tatiana saw another side of the same idea: giving kids a place where they could move beyond their comfort zones, struggle with something, learn from it and discover that they're capable of more than they expected.

That philosophy has been part of this Austin gym from the beginning.

OUR NEXT CHAPTER

From Ninja Nation Austin to Octo Ninja.

We originally opened this facility as Ninja Nation Austin.

In 2026, we began the next chapter as Octo Ninja — an independent, locally owned Austin brand built specifically around the community we've gotten to know here.

Same local ownership. Same North Lamar gym. A new direction that's completely our own.

We're taking what worked, improving what didn't and building a gym that feels more playful, flexible, creative and distinctly ours.

What we're continuing to evolve

  • Classes and skill progression
  • Memberships
  • Camps
  • Birthday parties
  • Special events
  • Staff training
  • Customer experience
  • Obstacles, games and activities

We're not trying to turn every child into a traditional athlete.

We're building the kind of place we would have wanted to grow up in.
LOCALLY OWNED

Meet the owners.

Octo Ninja is built here in Austin by people who are part of the community it serves.

AC
OWNER

Atlas Cage

Atlas is a native Texan from El Paso who has called Austin home for more than a decade.

He's a musician, producer and founder of Austin independent music and apparel company Sky Titan Media.

Long before opening the gym, Atlas was fascinated by ninja warrior. His early Sasuke submission videos were featured by G4, eventually leading to an invitation to American Ninja Warrior in 2012.

“Physical challenge feels like an adventure.”

And as a parent, building a place where kids can experience that feeling has become even more personal.
