New to Octo Ninja?
The basics about the gym, who can participate, what to wear and how to get started.
What is Octo Ninja?
Octo Ninja is a 15,000-square-foot indoor ninja obstacle gym in Austin, Texas for kids, teens and adults.
We offer Open Gym, ninja classes, Little Ninjas, camps, birthday parties, group events and mobile obstacle-course events.
You do not need ninja experience to get started.
Is Octo Ninja the former Ninja Nation Austin gym?
Yes. Our North Lamar facility originally opened as Ninja Nation Austin.
In 2026, the locally owned Austin gym began its next chapter as Octo Ninja — an independent local brand built around the families and athletes we serve here in Austin.
We're still at the same North Lamar location with the same local ownership behind the gym.
Where is Octo Ninja located?
Octo Ninja is located at 6500 N Lamar Blvd, Suite A, Austin, TX 78752 in North Central Austin.
Families visit from across Austin as well as Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown and surrounding Central Texas communities.
What ages can participate at Octo Ninja?
Octo Ninja has ways to participate from young children through adults.
Younger children can explore Little Ninjas, while older kids and teens can participate in classes, Open Gym, camps and advanced training. Adults are welcome during eligible Open Gym and training times.
Age and supervision requirements vary by program, so check the specific program page before visiting.
Does my child need ninja experience or have to be athletic?
No experience is required.
Ninja lets kids start with challenges that match their current ability and build from there. Participants can develop balance, climbing, coordination, grip, body awareness and obstacle problem-solving at different speeds.
Many first-time families start with Open Gym or a beginner-friendly ninja class.
Is Octo Ninja a trampoline park?
No. Octo Ninja is an obstacle-course and movement gym rather than a trampoline park.
The arena includes climbing structures, monkey bars, warped walls, balance challenges, swinging elements, grip obstacles and ninja-style courses.
Want to explore it yourself? See Open Gym →
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every participant must have a current Octo Ninja waiver before entering the obstacle course.
A parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver for participants under 18.
What shoes should I wear at Octo Ninja?
Wear clean, securely fitting athletic shoes with rubber soles and comfortable clothing you can move in.
Crocs, sandals, flip-flops, loose slip-on shoes, boots, heels, bare feet and socks alone should not be used on the main obstacle course.
Open Gym FAQs

What is Open Gym at Octo Ninja?

Booking ahead helps guarantee availability for the visit time you want.
What is the difference between Open Gym and a ninja class?
